 Reflect
Today is Maundy Thursday, a day when there is so much to remember.
This was the day on which Jesus got together with his disciples to celebrate the Last Supper, and gave us the Mass.
This was the day on which Jesus washed his disciples' feet in a humble act of service and love.
This was the day on which Jesus went to the Garden of Gethsemane to pray and asked his disciples to stay awake with him.
This was the day on which Jesus was arrested and taken away to be tried and put to death.
 Pray
Loving Father,
There are so many prayers to make to you today, none of which can thank you for all the things you did for us.
May we always be ready to serve others, remembering that love and service always go together.
May we always enter into the Mass remembering the loving, kind heart that gave it to us.
May we always take time to pray, knowing that you love us too much to turn a deaf ear.
And may we always be prepared to make sacrifices for what we believe is right.
Help us to use the next few days to remind us how amazing your love for us truly is.
Amen.
 Challenge
In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus asked his disciples to stay awake and to pray with them, just for an hour. His disciples were too weary and so they fell asleep. All Jesus had asked for was just one hour.
Your challenge today is to put aside some time to pray and to talk to Jesus. It doesn't have to be an hour, but just as much as you can.
If you go to Mass this evening, then you might be able to do this afterwards. Many Churches have an area set up for 'the watching' on this day and a lot of Catholics take part in this beautiful ritual.
Good luck, and have a blessed day!
