One thing that few people appreciate in life is the value of stillness. Every day we are surrounded by noise. We walk through busy streets, we travel on busy busses, busy trains, or busy roads, we work or study in busy places and when we get home we often turn the TV on and give ourselves even more noise. For a great many people, the only quiet and still space they get during the day is the time when they are asleep at night!
It can be quite hard to be quiet and still. Especially if we are use to busy lives and hectic schedules.
Making time to be still and quiet, though, can be a really lovely experience. It lets us think about our lives and take stock in a peaceful way. Often, it allows us to see clearly the things which can get missed in the middle of our busy lives.
 Pray
Loving Father,
Help us to stop every once in a while and to be at peace.
Help us to make time for you, and time for ourselves, and in that time, let us know how special we are and let us know that you are there.
Amen.
 Challenge
Your challenge today is rather predictable...
Spend ten minutes alone and in a peaceful place. Try to shut out all noise and distractions. Maybe you can take a walk or something like that.
During that time, try to think about some things that are important to you in life and try to talk to God too.
