Footsteps through Lent...

[Saturday Mar 6th]

Reflect

Today is Saturday. For most people, Saturday is a relaxing day, where there isn't much work to do. It's a day to spend time with friends, to chill out, and to do the things that we enjoy.

We shouldn't do this every day. If we never did any work or any study then the world would come to a grinding halt pretty quickly. But it's nice to keep a balance. Every so often, we need to stop what we're doing and relax for a while.

Relaxing not only recharges our batteries, it lets us reflect on what we are doing in life and it lets us be grateful. If we never stopped, we wouldn't have a chance to do that.

Pray

Loving Father,

We ask you to bless the work that we do. If we are studying, help us to grow from it. If we are working, help us to contribute well and to build up the world around us through the work that we do.

When we are not working help us to relax and to enjoy our leisure.

In all things, help us to remember and be grateful for your presence in our world.

Amen.

Challenge

Your challenge for today is to relax..

..and to appreciate the fact that you can do so!
