Footsteps through Lent...

[Friday Mar 5th]

Reflect

In today's Mass the Psalm says this:

'Remember the wonders the Lord has done.'

Throughout the bible there are voices which are constantly trying to remind people that God has done some absolutely awesome things for us. Sadly though, pretty much every time that one of these voices spoke up, it was ignored by people who were too caught up in their own lives to see.

Maybe we are like that sometimes.

Lent is a good time to ask ourselves if we are.

Do we recognise and give thanks for all of the amazing things that God has done for us or are we too caught up with day to day things to take notice?

Pray

Loving Father,

Your goodness and your power are far more than anything we could ever possibly imagine. You give us a world full of beauty, you give us lives filled with joy and promise, you give us friends and peers full of excitement and you give us faith in you, filled with hope for the future.

Help us today and always to be grateful for the things we have.

Amen.

Challenge

Your challenge for today is to spend some time thinking about all the good things that God has done for you. Think about the world, think about your happiest memories, think about the people around you, and think about all the things you are capable of doing.

When you've done this, spend a few moments in prayer giving thanks to God.
