Reflect
This year is the Year for Priests. The Church gives each year a special theme, and Pope Benedict has asked us to use this year to pray for and support our priests in a special way.
There are hundreds of thousands of priests around the world who have given up themselves to serve God, His church and His people.
Let's take a little bit of time today to pray for our priests.
Pray
Loving Father,
We thank you for the Church you give us and we thank you for the priests who strengthen our faith and guide so much of our lives.
We ask you today to be with your priests. Let them know your love, and give them grace, wisdom, kindness, joy, faith and peace.
We pray too for all those who are considering serving you as priests.
Amen.
Challenge
Your challenge for today is to sit and have a think...
...try to think of something good that a priest has done for you in the past. When you think of something, give thanks to God for it.
