 Reflect
The Lord rescues the just in all their distress
This line is taken from Psalm 33 and appears in today's Mass readings. It reminds us that God is always with us and that he never simply leaves us to get on with things by ourselves.
We all have times when we feel hopeless. We all have those times when we feel as though everything is lost.
This isn't anyting new. If you read the Bible you'll find that people have been having those feelings for centuries.
You'll also see that at every step God is there, looking after people and coming to their aid.
 Pray
Loving Father,
You love us dearly and you never leave us to fend for ourselves.
Help us to always remember that you are by our side and help us to always turn to you when things get tough.
We ask you today to be with all those who are suffering and to comfort those who feel hopeless and alone.
Amen.
 Challenge
Your challenge for today is to say a short prayer.
Pray for all those who are in distress and who probably feel like they are a very long way from God.
